Join us for our second annual convention, GeekGirlCon 2012!

GeekGirlCon ’12 will take place August 11th and 12th, 2012 at the Conference Center in downtown Seattle, WA. We are super excited to bring you another convention focused on the female geek. We’ll have programming, panels, games, exhibits, and more. So come and celebrate geeky women with us. From the scientist to the manga-addict, we have a little bit for everyone. All geeks welcome!
2-Day ($35) and Saturday or Sunday only ($20/each) passes available. Kids ages 5-10 are $5 and kids under 4 are free with an adult pass.

Will there be any Xena or Buffy-ness on offer?
We will have a variety of programming. Buffy (and Xena) had a lot of mentions last year, and I’m sure they will this year.
Will there be a place to buy tickets locally (like comix shops)… I did that last year and prefer to use cash.
Yes, we will be working with shops for in-store pass sales again. We just don’t have it in place quite yet.
OK – I will watch for it – I am buying for my California friends, too!

So that’s the convention center between Safeco Field and CenturyLink Field? Where the Women’s Show is?
No. The Conference Center is at 8th Avenue and Pike in downtown Seattle. It is across the street the WA State Convention Center. Up the street from the Cheesecake Factory and GameWorks.
Will there be conference hotels (with discounts) again this year? When do you expect to have that information? Thanks!
We’re working on it. Given the nature of hotel deals, there’s no eta.

Darn! I really wanted to come to GeekGirl 2012 but that is exactly the same time in August as the annual Star Trek Convention put on by Creation Entertainment. Already planning to be in LV then.
