GeekGirlScouts
The Girl Scouts of Western Washington build girls of courage, confidence and character; all qualities that GeekGirlCon loves to celebrate! It’s only natural that our two amazing organizations should join forces to form an initiative called GeekGirlScouts.
For over four years, GeekGirlScouts have participated in events where they’ve learned to play a variety of role playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, Dread, Fall of Magic, and For the Queen. They’ve played cooperative board games and also learned how to play strategy card games like Magic: The Gathering. They have participated in events like a Story Game Workshop where they created their own games with award-winning game developers, and a Cosplay Creation Workshop taught by one of our very first GeekGirlScouts. They have even been on behind-the-scenes tours of awesome, local companies and institutions, like Wizards of the Coast and DigiPen University!
