Call for Board Members
GeekGirlCon, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is currently seeking new members to join our Board of Directors.
How You Can Help
The next several years promise to be exciting for GeekGirlCon. We are looking for enterprising board members to play a central role in implementing the mission, as we look to the future.
The primary responsibility of board directors is to steer the overall policy and direction of GeekGirlCon in accordance with our mission and values. A big part of this work involves active engagement on one of our board committees such as Fundraising, Board Development, or Strategic Planning. The primary day-to-day operations are delegated to our Executive Director, Michele Carrico Domingo, and volunteer staff.
As you consider this opportunity, please review the board director position description here. We are a governing board and expect the board to be active and dynamic.
If you wish to be considered as a candidate for the Board of Directors, please fill out our application located here: GeekGirlCon Board of Directors Application. A member of the Board Development Committee will be in touch to discuss the position further.
If you have any questions, please contact our Executive Director Michele Carrico Domingo at firstname.lastname@example.org. You’re also invited to email the Board Development Committee at email@example.com for more information.
Since its founding seven years ago, GeekGirlCon has become recognized in our community as a vibrant and diverse community for people who identify as women and girls. We invite you to become a part of this future!
