#GGC16 Media Recap

At GeekGirlCon HQ, we’re still on cloud nine as we recount all of our memories from the 2016 convention. Two weeks ago today, our staff and agents were on the floor setting up and preparing for the rush of attendees. Both Saturday and Sunday were spent smiling, laughing, sharing our passions, and inspiring one another.

GeekGirlCon keeps on growing, and growth brings more people who empathize with our mission. More people means more voices, and more than ever before we’re seeing articles across the Seattle area (and beyond!) sharing what they thought about the convention this year. To ignite those post-con feels, we’ve curated a ton of those posts to share with you.

GeekGirls In The News

Traditional news sources and independent bloggers alike, everyone from The Seattle Times to Jetspace Magazine is talking about #GGC16! They’ve written articles on their favorites panels, taken pictures of the fanciest cosplayers, and shared their thoughts about the convention.

Soultamer Gaming · Sonja is a blogger and GeekGirlCon attendee-turned contributor. She put together a piece on the indie games she sampled on the convention floor.

Jetspace Magazine · Jetspace joined us and did a little piece on the overall convention, but were particularly interested in contributor Jennifer Paz and guest/founder of Feminist Frequency, Anita Sarkeesian.

GeekWire · GeekWire covered the Women in Games panel, which featured a host of female game industry veterans – including our own JC Lau!
