Have you ever been curious about what Pokémon eat out in the wild? Then you’ve come to the right place! Learn about what a food web created using the first generation of Pokémon would look like. It shows which Pokémon might prey on each other and how their size, typing and inspiration might affect that. It also tells us which species might be major producers, apex predators, or keystone species. Are robots “born?” What species would require more than two biological parents? What about magic? This idea-generating, worldbuilding workshop uses real world biology as well as fictional examples to, ahem, conceive ways that reproduction can work in science fiction, fantasy, and Weird tales. We’ll also learn how to avoid misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism while rethinking gender and reproduction. Rated PG-13 for some mature themes.
