The con will be packed full of incredible panels, workshops, science DIYs, games, meet-ups, and other geeky goodness you won’t want to miss. If you, like me, are a bit of a procrastinator, don’t panic—there’s still time to get your passes. Currently, the pass prices are:
Kids (Aged 0 to 5): Free! Kids (Aged 6 to 12): $10 One Day Pass: $30 Weekend Pass: $45
So, round up your family, friends, acquaintances, and/or that polite regular on your bus route and get ready to get your geek on at the con!
We’ve still got a little ways to go, but the GeekGirlCon staff can’t begin to tell you how excited we are for ‘18 convention. As of my posting this, we’ve got about 192 days until the con commences on the morning of October 27th. We’ve still got a some planning to do ourselves, but there are a few things you can do right now to prepare for a weekend of fun as we celebrate diversity in popular culture.
Pick Up Your Passes
Passes are currently available for purchase online and are still listed at early bird pricing. Make sure to grab yours now before they go up, because the sale will be ending on May 1 at 11:59 PST.
…and at that price, maybe you’ll grab a couple for your kids, your favorite in-law, or your sister. There’s something for your entire family at GeekGirlCon (and we mean that!)
Book Your Hotel
This year, we’re ecstatic to be reviving our partnership with Hotel Max in downtown Seattle the weekend of the convention! A few city blocks away from the Conference Center at the WSCC, Hotel Max is giving you a special GeekGirlCon room rate of $169 Thursday through Sunday evening.
Finish Your Programming Submission
Looking to do something a little more hands-on, or have a great idea for a panel at GeekGirlCon ’18? Never fear, there’s a little more time to submit your programming application! We’re still accepting applications for panels, panelists and moderators, performances, events, workshops, and tabletop hosts. But make sure to submit yours soon, because applications close on Monday, April 30 at 11:59 PST.
Apply To Become An Exhibitor
Interested in bringing your wares to GeekGirlCon? We’re also still accepting exhibitor applications until Monday, April 30 at 11:59 PST. Each year I spend an obscene amount of time perusing the tables of the exhibitor hall, enamored with everyone’s work—so whether you’re an independent artist or shop owner, the GeekGirlCon community thrives on creativity and this is the perfect way to express and share yours.
Stay tuned as we continue to sculpt your perfect convention, where every geek is free to participate in the conversation, share their passions, and express what makes them unique. GeekGirlCon ‘18 is all about being loud and being proud of who we are, and we’re thrilled to share that experience with you.
Since the convention ended last October, the GeekGirlCon staff have been busy planning. Planning what we want this year’s convention to be, what we want to be. Even though we’ve got quite some time until #GGC18 commences October 27th, we’re excited to start sharing everything that we’ve put together.
And the time is finally here. Passes for GeekGirlCon ‘18 are available right now.

Deciding to go to a convention is no small task. You have to plan your days, decide on your cosplay, and figure out what art and swag you want to buy.
But even before that, you have to decide who you’re going to the con with!
That’s why if you’ve been on the fence about coming to GeekGirlCon, you need to finish reading this blog post and jump online to buy your passes. I didn’t plan to write this as a listicle, but here are four reasons why you should do that right now:

Calling all Washington State attendees! Did you know that you can grab the latest issue of Ms. Marvel and score one of our passes in the same trip?
With less than one month until GeekGirlCon 2016, passes are now being sold in a handful of local comic book and game stores scattered about the Seattle area! In-store passes are sold at our early-bird pricing and will be available for purchase while supplies last. Historically, passes have totally sold out before the weekend of the convention, so don’t miss out on this stellar deal and make sure to grab yours before they’re all gone.
Here is a list of those stores, should you feel a sudden itch to go shopping:
Passes are available for one day or the whole weekend at the following prices:
One-day kids (aged 6-12) pass: $10.00

If you’d prefer talking to a person to buy your passes, we will be producing a limited run of hard copy passes to be available in some brick-and-mortar stores as we get closer to the convention. But why wait? With two and a half days of awesome programming, astounding scientific experiments, fabulous guest contributors, delightful games, amazing exhibitors AND an entirely new fourth floor of goodness to explore, you might as well buy now to guarantee that we’ll be seeing you on October 8 and 9.
Passes are available from our online store now, so get yours today! Hurry to avoid disappointment; at these prices, they won’t last long!
GeekGirlCon ‘15 festivities officially kick off today, and I hope you’re all as excited as I am!
I also hope you’ve grabbed your passes, as all online passes are now SOLD OUT. There may be some passes (at early bird prices) still in local stores, if you hurry. I recommend calling ahead, and bringing cash! Check with the following to see if you can snag a last-minute pass:
Paper passes, which you may have bought in stores or at our GeekGirlCon booth at other conventions around town, must be exchanged for a badge at Registration
One-day paper passes are good for either Saturday or Sunday–Registration will hook you up with whichever badge you prefer
Folks with will-call passes need to show some kind of ID or proof of purchase when picking them up (this doesn’t have to be a photo ID, and can be the email receipt from your purchase)
Great, now you’ve sorted yourself out with a badge–how do you keep track of all those panels you want to see?
Well, iOS and Android users can download the Guidebook app, search for GeekGirlCon, and add us to their events. It’s an interactive schedule and planner, where you can create your own schedule (with reminders), tag booths you want to visit, and more. There’s also a browser version.
What else am I forgetting?
Oh, that’s right–have fun! We can’t wait to see you!
