Twitch Content Producer [Volunteer Position]

Job Summary
GeekGirlCon’s Twitch Content Producer helps promote GeekGirlCon through the creation of content for the GeekGirlCon Twitch channel. The Twitch Content Producer is responsible for organizing, scheduling, moderating, and editing (where necessary) the creation of video content for the Twitch channel.

Responsibilities
- Communicates GeekGirlCon’s brand and gets others excited about GeekGirlCon
- Manages the schedule for the Twitch channel
- Creates ideas and content for the Twitch channel
- Finds and schedules on-screen talent and helps with setup, test streams, and best practices
- Analyzes Twitch metrics regularly to determine what is and is not landing with the GeekGirlCon audience
- Communicates with Social to ensure proper promotion of Twitch content
- Communicates with Design to ensure proper design assets are created as needed
- Communicates with Programming team to collaborate on interesting content and promotion of the in-person convention
- Some minor video editing for pre-recorded content
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help
- Basic video editing skills
- Experience with Project Management
- Willingness to live stream a plus
- Previous experience in video content production and/or streaming a plus

What It Means to Volunteer as GeekGirlCon Staff
- GeekGirlCon staff positions are all volunteer, non-paid positions.
- Attendance remotely (or in-person, during non-pandemic times) for staff and departmental meetings is required.
- Must maintain prompt and professional correspondence.
- Most work is conducted over email and with in-person meetings in the Seattle area.
- Between 5-10 hours per week of work is required for this role (including meetings, etc).
- The staff is a team of highly dedicated, geeky, and passionate volunteers; it’s a lot of hard work, but an amazing experience with lots of opportunity to help build GeekGirlCon for the future!
