Guest post by Maddy Vonhoff of Foulplay

Foulplay is a woman-owned company based in Seattle creating murder mystery party games for a modern, progressive (and geeky!) audience. Fun fact: we launched our business at GeekGirlCon ’19 and have been long-time attendees since 2013! We had a great time hosting pop up games at GeekGirlCon last year, and we are excited to bring a virtual experience of our space-western game, WANDERSTAR, to #GGCOnline!

Our games are a non-scripted, freeform style of gameplay–a mix of roleplaying, Clue, and a lot of fun! Players will be given a character when they arrive and will spend the next couple hours interacting with other characters while trying to figure out whodunnit! Players will have other goals to accomplish as well, so choose your friends and enemies carefully! We will also give away a free Foulplay game to two attendees!

WANDERSTAR is an out-of-this-world adventure made especially for geeks! The crews of The Empress and The Calamity Jane have put aside old rivalries to apprehend the bounty on infamous outlaw, Kaelen Longherst, and collect their bounty at Lone Rock Port, but long-buried secrets and a mysterious lost treasure threaten to up the stakes! What happens next is up to you!

This will be a pop-up game hosted on Foulplay’s virtual event hosting platform, Remo. Remo offers an online virtual party experience and allows free movement within a fixed virtual “room” where you can have private conversations at individual tables.

Ready to solve a mystery? Here’s how to join!

We will be hosting two games of 15 players each from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. PST on Sunday, October 25. The game is free, but RSVP is required to get the event link.

Reserve your tickets here.

No prior murder mystery experience is needed, but you will need a webcam, a laptop or desktop computer, and reliable internet.

We will confirm your spot via email before the party with information about how to use Remo and tips and tricks for playing an online murder mystery game.

We are thrilled to be part of GeekGirlCon once again, and we hope to see you on October 25!
